Who we are

NRD Calculators is operated by NRD Business Support Services Ltd (company number 16277119), a limited company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 169 High Street, Barnet, Hertfordshire, EN5 5SU. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy and are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC022621.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — email address, name, hashed password.
• Practice details — practice name and uploaded logo (used on PDFs you generate).
• Subscription data — plan, status, billing period (handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers).
• Usage data — anonymised page views and feature usage to improve the product.
• Calculation inputs — values you enter in calculators are processed in your browser and on our servers only as needed to return results. They are not stored long-term.

2. How we use your data

• To provide and maintain your account and calculators.
• To process subscriptions and invoices.
• To send service emails (sign-in, password resets, billing notifications).
• To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Legal basis

We process your data under the following bases: contract (to deliver the service), legitimate interest (to improve and secure the product), and legal obligation (e.g. tax records).

4. Sharing your data

We share data only with the processors required to operate the service:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Lovable Cloud (our hosting provider) — application and database hosting.
• Email delivery providers — for transactional emails.

We do not sell your data.

5. International transfers

Some processors are located outside the UK. Where this is the case, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

6. Retention

We keep account and billing data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure to meet UK tax-record requirements. You can request earlier deletion (see "Your rights" below).

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to the minimum personnel needed. We use row-level security to ensure each user can only see their own data.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. Contact us at privacy@nrdcalculators.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to remember billing preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We will notify you of material changes by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
